How to Start With Revision For CBSE Board Examination

After the preparation, comes another stage and that is Revision. This is one of the most crucial stage of the entire preparation cycle for an exam. Once you have completed your entire syllabus and all subjects, start with revision. It is highly possible that when you just complete preparing your syllabus and don’t revise it, you may tend to forget the concepts and jumble everything together.

Moving ahead, your mission should be to revise the entire syllabus of all subjects at least twice before exams, rest we’d say- the more, and the better. Revising more than once is the key to attempt the paper well and with very precise efficiency. This may sound to be a tough task but it is actually not as what all you need is solution to each topic of the syllabus recommended.

Revision Materials-

1.    Solved Papers- Going through the solutions give you a fair idea about how should you solve a particular question in order to attain maximum scores. Sometimes, students tend to write more than required, this consumes all the time and further there is less time remaining to solve other questions and so happens vice-versa. Therefore, we recommend you to go through solved papers.

2.    Mock Tests- It is important to keep a check on where your preparation stands, therefore, keep testing yourself. Solve the entire paper in 3 hours. This will help you to know how much time does a particular section requires. You will also have an idea on what kinds of questions can you expect.

3.    Past year papers- Solving past year papers will again give you a direction and a good understanding of what kind of questions you can expect. The exam pattern keeps changing slightly every year. Target to solve past 10 years of papers or at least 5 years.

4.    Revising again and again- As already mentioned above, keep revising as much as you can.

5.    Make notes- Make small notes and keep studying them, it has been proved by research and experiences that the notes and key points get imprinted in your brain. For example- Jot down all the formulae and stick them in front of your bed, washroom, wherever possible or let’s say whichever place grabs your eye contact even for few seconds. You’ll see the difference.

6.    Give yourself break- Refreshment is an important part of preparation, take a break for say 15-20 minutes- go out for a walk, listen to your favorite music or do anything that refreshes you, then get back to studies.

Once the aspirant is able to crack the exam, he/she then goes through rounds of group discussion and personal interviews for a more filtered selection process.
Bank exams are typically conducted no different than aptitude tests in order to examine the basic aptitude and intelligence level of the aspirant. The tests examine your IQ level, basic concepts learnt in school and your general awareness levels. Though they are different from the tests you may have taken in school. Following points will tell you how are they different-
-The questions have a problem followed by multiple-choices that makes them as objective type of questions. You need to go through the problem thoroughly and mark the correct answer.
-Unlike schools, the steps involved in solving the questions do not give you marks. You grab the mark only for the right answer, and that is it! In case you are confused between two choices, do not mark both of them as they will not at all fetch marks to you.
-Every wrong answer makes you pay penalty as a negative marking. Unlike school or college where you used to get a “zero” for a wrong attempt, in these exams you will get negative marks to wrong answers.  So, if you do not be careful, you can end up with a scoring less than zero as well.
Out of all five sections, each may carry different cut off.  You need to achieve some minimum marks in each section to qualify for the next level of the bank recruitment process.
For Bank exams, there is no fixed syllabus. Still you can prepare through various kinds of Bank PO Books and try to grab the job.

JEE Mains 2015- Last Few Days Preparation

After the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams ends, the aspiring engineers from across the country will start gearing up and sweating out for their biggest test i.e the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Scheduled to be held on 4th April 2015 (offline), JEE is expected to be taken by about more than 18 lakh students in over 1500 centers across India and abroad.

The JEE is a three-hour test comprising of three sections namely physics, chemistry and mathematics. The syllabus of the exam has been taken from that of CBSE class 11th and 12th. Each subject comprises of 30 questions that are of objective type in nature (multiple choice with single correct answer). These questions carry 4 marks each. Students should be very careful as there is one-fourth negative marking for every wrong answer.

To solve the problems, try the obvious conventional methods first, say experts. If they don’t work out, try to understand the problem again and find tricks and clues that can help you solve the problem. Most of the JEE Mains books provide tricks and techniques of solving a question in multiple ways. Go through all the concepts related to the problem once again and see how they can be applied to the problem spontaneously. At times, you can even try to relate the problem to real-life situations as it will help you to analyse the question better. Refer to the solution, only when you have exhausted your number of limits. Practice similar problems many times, you will get a gist of solving such questions. Remember one thing doing 100 quality and concepts-based questions is more important and helpful than doing 1000 non-concept questions, therefore, select the questions carefully and then start preparing. Consult to past papers to know what kind of questions you can expect. Create your own shortcuts and ways to tackle particular kind of question.

Generally, paper 2 tests a student for visualizing three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings, visualizing different sides of a three dimensional object and also analytical reasoning and mental ability.

Nothing can give you a better understanding than solving previous year papers is the most important and required thing to do if you want to succeed in JEE Main 2015 exam. JEE Main 2015 books and sample papers will provide you an insight into the type of questions, marking scheme and time management. Solving these sample papers will give you an idea about how the questions will appear in actual exam
